It’s a long way from over, despite what some may write today. But Hillary Clinton does have quite the mountain to climb now to win the Democratic nomination. And none of the paths to victory are, shall we say, the high road.
I’ve put up a lengthy version of why Hillary is losing over at the Daily Telegraph .
The MSNBC assessment of her problems going into the delegate race is pretty good:
But Hillary also may not have done herself too many favours with her classless refusal to even acknowledge fact that voters in two states and the District had just cast ballots - not to thank the people who voted for her, not to thank the people who campaigned for her, and especially not to mention the victories of Obama and say something nice about how the she and Obama managed to, for example, attract three times the amount of Virginia voters as the Republicans. Finally the networks just cut away when they realised she wasn’t going to even mention the elections they were covering.
Doesn’t make her seem like she’s a) going to go gracefully if/when it comes to that and b) it can’t make supporters/donors feel great that she seems to think ignoring that she’s no longer the frontrunner campaign will fix the problem.

Richard, what do you make of the fact that some commentators in the US are saying that Hillary’s advisor and strategist, Mark Penn, is the millstone around her neck and his strategy is costing her votes?
