Recently I spoke to local councillors and political activists about engaging immigrant voters in the runup to the 2009 local and European elections at the Third Sector Forum, held at the - lovely, it must be said - Silver Tassie Hotel in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
Slightly delayed, here as promised is the presentation I gave. It’s not one of those slide decks where every word that was spoken is on the slides, but hopefully it will give people some flavour. I don’t stand over some of the data in it, which should be considered indicative and anecdotal.
If you were in attendance, or even if not, your views are welcome on the presentation or on the subject. How aggressively will politicians seek support from immigrants in Ireland? It’s a topic I’m keeping an eye on and want your views. You can leave a comment here or you can always email me at rdelevan (at) gmail (DOT) com.
You can also find the presentation here.
